5th/6th Graders

Read at least 5 titles before May 4th, you get to VOTE  for your favorite, you'll get an invite to the Bluestem Ice Cream Party, AND you'll receive a bookmark & water bottle sticker!
Read at least 10 titles by May 4th AND pass the quizzes with a score of 4 or 5, you'll get a bonus gift at the library party. Read 15...get a SECOND bonus gift!  Read ALL 20 and you'll get our "Fame & Fortune" package: a full-size candy bar, your picture on our Lobby TV and in the Heyworth Buzz, and your name added to our "Bluestem Wall of Fame"!

• On the Bluestem Display shelves in our library, ​
• Mrs. Riordan's or Mrs. Carlton's classroom libraries.
• Heyworth Public Library
• Use the link to the left to the 2026 Bluestem titles in eRead Illinois to read online or listen to an audio version (you'll need your Library Card ID number...check your Google Docs or ask a Librarian.
